This room is named after Maharani Bakhtawar Kaur who was one of the 10 wives of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. However, she was the one that that took part in the official ceremonies as the Maharani and presented a magnificent tiara called the Delhi Durbar Tiara to Queen Mary in the Delhi Durbar of 1911, to mark the first visit to India by a Queen Empress.
