The journey is approximately 2 hours from Coimbatore, 4 hours from Kochi and 6 hours from Bengaluru.
By Train
The other option is to travel up to Mettupalayam by train and then, in the Blue Mountain Express which shuttles between Mettupalayam and Ooty, stopping at Conoor. This is an old train, awarded the heritage status by Unesco.
