All Neemrana properties are non–hotel Hotels, because they were originally built for other purposes. All efforts have been made to maintain the old charm of The Ramgarh Bungalows while ensuring the basic comforts that have come to be associated with the changes in lifestyle since the 19th century. The six Ramgarh Bungalows offer a unique opportunity to experience high spirits up on a summit in the Kumaon. There is a range of local excursions around our hotel in Nainital that help our guests unwind and rediscover themselves. Nothing about the Neemrana experience is ordinary. Heave your chest, muscle your calves, take all the oxygen back in your lungs. Enjoy the hill breeze as the magical night lazily settles in. Ramgarh Bungalows also hosts anniversaries, birthdays and amazing activities to do in Nainital.
River
The river flows deep down in the valley, and even when its bed is dry, it hides secret pools ringed with large boulders. Don’t forget to ask our staff before you set out to seek them! And if you drive down, you’ll have to park and walk a little.
Local Culture
Life in Ramgarh is so quiet and unhurried that the most exciting activity is a trip to the small, quaint village market. The tea-stalls where villagers meet up is a good place to catch up with local life and spend hours doing nothing but being an observer of 'life passing by'.
Fruit Orchards
The Ramgarh Bungalows are blessed with their own fruit orchards that consist of a variety of peach, apricot, plum, pear, and apple trees. Re-live your childhood as you pluck these off the trees and munch in season from summer to autumn. There are also malta, lime, gooseberry, and strawberry plantations that are used to make fresh Neemrana jams – without preservatives – so that you preserve your health.
Admiring Flowers
The Ramgarh Bungalows have a diverse variety of flowers for flower lovers. These consist of begonia, poppies, calendulas, daisies, dahlia, dianthus, gazania, sweet pea flower, sun flowers, carnations, gerberas, geranium, petunias, hollyhocks, marigold, bottlebrush, gladula, hydrangea, iris, fuchsia, roses, and rhododendron. Feast with your eyes and enjoy nature’s creation.
Bird watching
Bird watching comes among the top things to do in Nainital, The Kumaon Hills are a birdwatchers paradise and there are many species of birds that can be spotted at The Ramgarh Bungalows. These include wood peckers, parakeets, bulbuls, mynahs, pipits, red and jungle-fowls, Indian peafowl’s, and blue whistling thrushes. For the adventurous bird watchers, there is also Pangot (45 kms away) – a magical forest with little trails which has 2000 species of birds!
